2025.....

 is almost over!

Not a whole lot to write about now that 2/3 of my children live away from me.   I miss toddlers and preschoolers and endless cartoons. It did fly fast.

I was "non-renewed" for my second grade position with no explanation and so late in the game I couldn't find another before school started.   My depression came back.  I cannot find meds that work with my anxiety meds so I just deal with it the best I can.  I'd rather be sad than anxious.  I did find out recently that I was "fired" so that principal's pet could move her sister in and I am glad I am gone.   She is slowly taking over by spreading rumors and I figure by next year everyone I knew and loved with be out and, seriously, people just suck.   I'm too old for that shit.

I owe $26,402.31 to my debt relief program and I don't' have a job.  It's funny really.

My husband financially cut me off due to "my spending habits" and by "spending habits" I mean buying groceries, shoes for my kids (whose feet continue to grow), cheer fees, medical co-pays, streaming channels, internet, and that entire damn classroom I funded and set up.  Maybe I took a couple trips in there but he used the fruits of that habit just as dang slap-happily as he could.   Guess what you can't get without money?  Starts with a D...

My bank account is at $-38.24 which also happens to be the gate code to our neighborhood so come on in!

It would be wrong to start a go fund me right?  I know of at least two I contributed to in the past five years of friends needing surgery and then I realize, they never had surgery.   Hmmmmm.......

Also if you start tutoring, get paid upfront.   There's a mama down the street who owes me almost $300, sure could use that right now.   (She's blocked me and , no, I don't see her kid anymore).

If I still wrote Christmas letters, or even sent cards, this is what I would say:

2025

We are still living in Texas and even got a nice snow in January.

Adam turned 20 and moved to San Marcos with friends in January.

At the end of the month Elizabeth attended NCA National Cheer in Dallas.  We had a blast.  Might have placed last but progress was made along with new friends.

Elizabeth also got her driver's permit March 1
And then promptly totaled my 24 year old car on March 7.
Went to Fredericksburg....

Elizabeth turned 18.......got them all to adulthood.  Yay me.

Jacob turned 24!!! in March but no pictures until we went to see him in a theater production in May.

I went to Panama City Beach in June.....the most wonderful week of the year.

Cheer started again.....this is my job now.   Sure wish there was a paycheck.

Jacob moved back to town, living in his grandparents house....

I turned 57.

My sister took me to WVU to see them lose a football game.  In the rain.  Might have turned into a food tour.

I went to Panama City Beach.  Again.  Alone.
Cheer Regionals as soon as the plane landed.

Jacob was the lead in another theater production at the college in town and found another dog that he still has and is currently freezing in his garage because his grandparents won't let it in the house because he already has one dog they don't want in the house in the house.  Please someone take this sweet dog.  I am anticipating some huge riffs coming.  My parents are old and can't handle this kind of stress.

And just for good measure....here is his other dog.  Watching Stranger Things.

We look forward to 2026.
