It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Memorial Day

We had a little winter fun on Tuesday.

It was eighty degrees and sunny so,since snowball fights were out of the question, we dug the pool out and cooked out and pretended it was July.

Of course in July I had a lumpy baby who could not enjoy the swing so much.

She is quite a tasty baby. Just ask that nasty mosquito draining the blood from her leg. Can you believe that? Mosquitoes in December, man. That just ain't right.

If I were a good mom, I would have dried them all off and brought them inside to shield them from the blood-lettings, but they were having too much fun so I took pictures instead.

Come on now. Even the dog was having a good time. What's a few mosquito bites? Trust me when I tell you that it's loads of fun to jump in a pile of leaves and THEN go jump in the pool. Strange, but fun.

Of course, this could explain my kid's confusion about the seasons.

Wow, that is confusing. It's fun to make a fun time out of the warm weather. And here I am trying to keep a sweatshirt on my son in the house, because it's chilly. Brr.

I CANNOT BELIEVE IT'S 80 DEGREES!

Wow, right now I would so trade you. It's ice storm-tastic here.

(Your daughter is absolutely tasty).

Wow, can we trade?

I barely made it out of the driveway yesterday, the snow and ice were so bad!!

Seasons? In Houston bwahahahahaha.

We still have skeeters flying around even though we've had temps in the 20's at night. They're like vampires~ya need Holy Water, a crucifx and a wooden stake. Good luck with that.

The kids seem to be having a blast! You're such a good mommy.

Dang where are you? I so want it to be 80 here (and not raining). I also wish my baby were less lumpy :P

oh my gosh, the title of your post alone had me laughing out loud, and that picture at the end with even the dog rolling around is just hysterical. we got snow yesterday, the PITA kind that turns to ice and is impossible to shovel, so i think we're a little envious of you right now.

I feel your pain. There's just something wrong about your baby coming home from pre-school wearing shorts and sandals and giving you his home made Christmas ornaments.

I hate this 80 degree weather in December.

And I can't find short sleeved Christmas shirts no where!!! What about people at the equator? Don't they deserve to show their love of the season, too?

Dang.

Man, here in "sunny" california, it's been FREEZING! Literally! I get the kids off to school in the morning and the temp gauge in my car just reads "ice" Ya think! It's so fricken cold.
