Today is our last day in our old house.
I watched all my babies take their first steps here.
I survived Thomas here.
I watched my first baby become a brother here.
Twice.
I drove my big kid to kindergarten from here.
There've been eight Christmases,
eleven birthday parties,
And one graduation.
We've been through so much in this old house, but now it's time to pass it on to the next little family who I hope will make just as many good memories in it.
I am sad, but I am ready to see how our life will unfold at the new house.
If it's anything like this one, we're in for a wild ride.

What a nice tribute to "red", that is what you called it before right? Here's to many more wild rides at the new place.
what memories you've created in that house! Here's to many more in the new one!
I am so excited for you guys! Let the fun begin in the new house with the awesome kitchen!
Awww.... How sweet! I miss bits about my first house, too. My boys were both born there... We made the mistake of writing their heights on the wall, too. Don't make me think about it. I might cry...
Enjoy your new home! Can't wait to see what adventures it brings!
ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE ME CRY, WOMAN? BECAUSE YOU ARE.
Moving is always such a mixed emotion!! I'm sure the memories you make in your new house will be just as happy!!
That's so sweet! You've inspired me to put together a tribute to our old house. The hubs and I were talking the other day about how he's sad to leave our "old" house and I'm not. I think I'm just so sick of cleaning it every day while it's been on the market. But I know I'll be sad to leave it when the time comes... 7 days!
Happy moving day!
Good luck to you! Man, I've YET to own a house....someday!
My best wishes for your move(don't forget to breathe) and I'll say some prayers as well.
Hugs.
I am crying with you. I know there are lot's of wonderful memories to make at your new house, but..... I remember leaving the house that my daughter spent her first 4 years in. The house where your whole life changed when you had the kids, all the memories are hard to give up. So you can take your moment to be sad, and then look forward to the new. But for now, I totally understand your feelings.
Despite the joys of moving into a "new" house, OHM is always sad like you when saying goodbye to the "old" house.
Good luck building those future memories.
