First the lipstick, now....
Oh, come on, it's cute!
Adam asked me to paint his toenails last week after he noticed a lovely new hue on my own toes. "Pretty new toes, Mommy" he'll say when I change things up a bit. He can also spot new haircuts so I know he'll make a wonderful husband one day.
So I painted his toenails.
He wanted me to do his fingernails too, but I didn't know how well that would go over with the other Y chromosomes in my house, so I talked him out of it.
Or so I thought.
Always remember to lock up your nail polishes after use.
And that's just the wall. I didn't start snapping photos until after I scrubbed the tile floor. FYI: Remover works on tile, not the wall. Guess what we'll be doing this summer?
So, I sent him to the naw-tee step while I cleaned up the mess.
I guess it took me more than three minutes.
But he had pretty fingers and toes for church on Sunday.

As long as he looked good for church...
Oh, here I was thinking that I was the only mother who'd painted her son's toenails, and now I know differently. I'm sure he looked quite gorgeous.
You know what struck me most about this? Not the nail polish wearing, but the fact that he STAYED on the naughty step. That SO doesn't work in this house. Please discuss your techniques in a future post.
Thank you.
That kid continues to crack me up. As long as he said you looked pretty...that's all that counts.
I can't wait until Brendan starts eyeing all my goodies...make up, polish, lip gloss....
Yeah, what Jennifer said. How the heck did you get him to stay on the step long enough to pass out?
That is the cutest picture ever. I agree with the others--getting him to stay there long enough to fall asleep was a parenting feat!
Love the Easter pics too (Elizabeth looks so pretty in Amie's dress)
Glad to know I'm not the only one who paints her son's toenails.
And, I NEED to know how you manage to get him to *stay* in the naughty spot (along with all the other moms out there!). That does NOT work around here, at all. I really really really would appreciate any and all tips regarding that.
The last picture on the steps in one of the sweetest evah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My son learned to try and "fix" his mistakes. He got my polish remover and tried to clean up his Cool Coral mess. On the tile floor.
Did you know polish remover will strip a floor in a heartbeat?
~sigh~
Yeah.
....and it still has a coral hue to it.
That last picture is hilarious. Naughty steps/corners never worked for us, he wouldn't stay put. You must have mad mamma skillz. Do share!
That is going to be a great story to tell his first serious girlfriend! Make sure you show her the pictures too.
