I Am Wearing Black Today

Life as I know it is over. It's horrible, really.

My new neighborhood does not get high speed internet access. No DSL. No Broadband. Just dial-up. Hopelessly slow, can't download photos, dial-up.

Oh, the rest of the little town can get it, just not my neighborhood. I have begged, pleaded, contacted every cable, phone, and satellite company in the area, but have been repeatedly told, "that service is currently unavailable".

WTH? I live but a few exits from the fourth largest city in America and I can't get high speed internet?

I'm suddenly not liking my new house so much.

No wonder it was so cheap.

Damn.

OMG! Thats enough to make me back out of the deal! That's impossible! Small town Mullan, Idaho, population 650 can get high speed! I just don't understand.

I can just hear the bagpipes playing in your house today.

Dude, that bites. Seriously...I could go without a phone and even the freaking TV...but not without my DSL...I feel for you!

No freakin way. Sigh... Well, if there had to be a bad thing about the house, at least it's something that will probably be updated sooner, rather than later. Maybe start a petition? What better way to meet your new neighbors than by knocking on their doors and asking them to whine with you, right?

Unbelievable. I have cable internet and I live in the boonies... I thought DSL was pretty widely available. I'm just so, so sorry...

Don't feel so bad Andria...I've NEVER had anything but dial up and I live in California which is supposed to be a pretty high tech state. Not so much where I live though. It's not an option for us. at all. And yes, dial up sucks. I feel like it's such a waste of my time....it just takes for.ev.er!
